By prioritizing precise machine handling, thorough inspections, and strict safety compliance, this position supports high-efficiency production within a dynamic manufacturing setting. Primary Tasks and Accountabilities Configure and manage press brake systems by following established blueprints and production guidelines Choose and mount the necessary dies, tooling, and raw materials for specific manufacturing tasks Analyze and translate technical drawings, production orders, and dimensional requirements Modify machine settings to uphold consistent quality levels and output benchmarks Verify the accuracy of completed components using precision instruments to help maintain high quality standards for the customer Observe equipment functionality to detect potential malfunctions or product flaws Execute standard equipment upkeep and maintain a tidy, orderly workspace Adhere to all established safety protocols, quality benchmarks, and organizational regulations Report any production obstacles, mechanical failures, or supply deficits to management to ensure smooth operations Contribute to ongoing process enhancements to help boost productivity and minimize material waste Required Qualifications Completion of high school or equivalent education is preferred Two or more years of hands-on experience in the setup and operation of press brakes is desired Comprehensive knowledge of fabrication techniques, tooling, and press brake hardware Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and utilizing measurement devices like tape measures and calipers Strong focus on precision and a dedication to delivering high-quality results Capability to diagnose and resolve fundamental production or equipment challenges Capacity to function effectively both autonomously and as a collaborative member of a manufacturing team Physical Demands Capacity to remain standing for long durations and handle weights up to 40 lbs Ability to operate safely in proximity to industrial machinery and production equipment Required Proficiencies Troubleshooting Skills Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills Material Handler Experience Deburring Experience Metal Stamping & Forming (Progressive Die) CNC Machine Setup & Changeover Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology Spindle Maintenance & Repair Machine Setups for Production Runs Metal Casting Experience Excellent Communication Skills Blueprint Reading
