Full Job Description Press Brake Operator:

Level 1 (Trainee) General Devices is looking for a motivated individual to begin a career in precision sheet metal fabrication. This is an entry-level training position where you will learn to operate press brake machines used to form metal parts for electronic equipment and industrial products. No previous press brake experience is required; we will train the right candidate. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, mechanical problem solving, and building real products. Press brake operation is a highly marketable manufacturing skill , and many of our skilled operators and team leaders started in this position and developed their careers here.

Hours:

6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday Typical starting pay: $18 - $22 per hour depending on experience. What You Will Do Assist experienced operators in running press brake machines. Load and unload sheet metal parts from machines. Learn how to read job travelers and basic prints. Use measuring tools such as tape measures, gauges, and calipers. Inspect parts for quality and accuracy. Help maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow all safety rules and company policies. Gradually learn press brake setup and operation through hands-on training. What We Are Looking For We are primarily looking for the right mindset and reliability.

Excellent attendance and reliability Strong attention to detail Willingness to learn and take instruction Interest in developing a valuable manufacturing skill A positive attitude and ability to work well with others Ability to stay focused and perform repetitive tasks accurately Mechanical curiosity or enjoyment of working with tools and equipment Metalworking or manufacturing experience is highly preferred , including sheet metal work, machining, welding, automotive repair, construction trades, or similar hands-on work — but we will train the right candidate.
