Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that fabricated components meet strict quality standards and specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring accurate bending of sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise parts. Adjust machine parameters, tooling, and tooling setups for optimal performance and accuracy. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; operate hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other fabrication equipment as needed. Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, welding, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, and assembly processes. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure smooth operation and troubleshoot issues promptly. Requirements Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately. Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other quality inspection instruments effectively. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Knowledge of safety procedures related to sheet metal fabrication equipment including cranes and forklifts. Experience working with hand tools and tooling setups for sheet metal fabrication. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance during production runs.
