In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to accurately bend and form sheet metal components according to engineering specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled machinists passionate about precision fabrication and manufacturing excellence. Weekend shift is 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday-Work 36 hours earns a 4 hour differential. 2nd Shift is 4:30 PM to 3:00 Monday-Thursday. We offer a $2.00 per hour shift differential. Both positions will train on 1st shift for 1-2 weeks prior to starting on the desired schedule. Duties Operate and monitor press brake machines to produce precise bends in sheet metal parts based on detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Set up tooling, calibrate machines, and adjust parameters to meet production specifications efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication. Perform routine inspections of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Collaborate with team members on machine maintenance, tooling changes, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Assist with fabrication processes such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC programming, welding, and assembly as needed. Requirements Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment with strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, and electrical discharge machining is highly desirable. Ability to read complex blueprints and interpret GD&T specifications accurately. Familiarity with hand tools, tooling setup, sheet metal fabrication techniques, and quality inspection tools like micrometers and calipers. Basic math skills for measurement conversions and process calculations. Experience with forklift operation and crane safety is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with manufacturing experience in machining or fabrication environments. Ability to work efficiently during second shift hours or on weekends while maintaining high safety standards and productivity levels.
