Job Description

Brake Press Operator Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Shift:
1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:45
PM Location:
Erlanger, KY 41018 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position requires hands-on experience setting up, programming, and operating brake press equipment to produce high-quality metal components that meet customer specifications and tolerances. Candidates must have prior brake press setup experience. This is not a machine operator-only role. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently setting up jobs, selecting tooling, reading blueprints, and making machine adjustments as needed. Responsibilities Set up brake press machines, including tooling selection and machine adjustments. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Create, modify, and troubleshoot brake press programs. Operate brake press equipment to produce parts within specified tolerances. Operate non-programmable rolling equipment as needed. Verify dimensions and inspect finished parts using measuring instruments. Follow proper forming sequences and order of operations. Ensure parts and quantities are accurately kitted and accounted for. Identify production issues and recommend process improvements. Accurately clock in and out of jobs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with team members and management to achieve production goals. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of brake press setup and operation experience preferred. Ability to independently set up jobs from blueprints. Experience creating, editing, and troubleshooting brake press programs. Strong understanding of tooling selection, machine setup, and forming processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience working with tight tolerances and quality standards. Proficient with calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
