Job Description

Press Brake Operator M.S. Fabrication is hiring an experienced Press Brake Operator for our custom metal fabrication shop in the forming department. We produce custom brackets, frames, guards, plates, trims, countertops, and fabricated assemblies from customer drawings and specifications. This is a hands-on role for someone who can read prints, set up machine and tooling, check their own work, and produce accurate parts in a job-shop environment. Full-time and part-time roles are available. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal and plate Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications Select proper tooling and perform machine setup for each job Check parts using calipers, tape measures, squares, angle gauges, and other measuring tools Make adjustments as needed to meet required dimensions and tolerances Work with stainless steel, aluminum, steel, and other common materials Handle custom fabrication work, production, short runs, and changing job requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate with shop team members about job requirements, issues, or corrections Operate slip rolls Perform bump forming Assist with general shop tasks when needed Qualifications Prior press brake experience is required Ability to set up and run press brake jobs from drawings and specifications Strong blueprint reading, measuring, and layout skills Comfortable with custom parts and short-run fabrication Able to select tooling, make adjustments, and check parts for accuracy Knowledge of bend allowances, material thickness, angles, and forming basics Bump forming experience Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and angles Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work safely Full-time and part-time roles available Strong Plus CAD work, including reviewing drawings, making minor updates, or helping prepare shop drawings CNC equipment experience: waterjet and CNC punch Plus Welding or general fabrication experience Layout, deburring, hardware insertion, assembly, or finish work Forklift experience Ability to help with other shop tasks when needed Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced press brake operator who can step into a custom fabrication shop and run jobs with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone who can set up the machine, read drawings, choose tooling, make accurate bends, inspect their own work, and help keep jobs moving through the shop. This role is a good fit for someone who takes pride in clean, accurate work and enjoys solving challenges when they arise. A strong candidate will be able to take ownership of press brake work.
