Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Press Operator will be responsible for the efficient operation of a digital printing press and related finishing equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Manipulate color calibration to meet the client's expectation. Set up supplies and equipment and supervise the printing press during each operation. Produces the required quantity of products within established specifications and tolerances. Checks finished printed products, ensuring compliance with function, quality and cosmetic specifications. Maintains logs and records of units produced including records of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces. Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES
) Ability to follow directions and work well in a team. Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Mechanically inclined. Understanding of and ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements. Willing to train the right person. $50,000-$70,000 commensurate with experience.
Pay:
$24.00 - $33.00 per hour
