Job Overview:
A Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a brake press machine to bend, shape, and form metal materials according to specifications. They read blueprints, adjust machine settings, and inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Setup and operate machines to bend or straighten metal materialSet stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passesMeasure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, or rulersRead work orders or blueprints to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerancesOther related duties as required
Qualifications:
Accurately work with calipers, squares, gauges, protractors and other measuring toolsHave good math ability and problem solving skillsRead and interpret blueprints efficientlyPerform physical actions which may include frequent bending, twisting, reaching, walking, consistent standing, and the ability to lift/carry and push/pull objectsWhy Work with Us?
