Job Description

Job Overview:
We are a leading steel manufacturing company seeking a skilled and experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process by utilizing your expertise in reading blueprints, operating press brake machinery, and ensuring the accurate cutting and bending of materials to meet strict specifications. The ideal candidate should possess prior experience in press machine operation, preferably in steel manufacturing or sheet metal work, and be proficient in using CNC (computer numerical control) equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and comprehend blueprints provided by designers and engineers to determine the precise measurements and specifications for each product.
Machine Setup:
Prepare the press brake machine by selecting the appropriate dies, tools, and materials for the specific job.
Machine Programming:
Input the necessary program parameters into machines computer system to control the process accurately. Make adjustments as needed during production runs to maintain desired tolerances. Program the press brake machine using CNC controls to execute the required cutting and bending actions as per the design specifications.
Quality Inspection:
Thoroughly inspect the final products to ensure uniformity, accuracy, and adherence to the provided blueprints and production standards.
Material Management:
Maintain an organized and efficient work area by restocking materials as needed to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted production process.
Machine Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on the press brake machine to ensure its optimal performance and prevent any operational issues.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the machinery, ensuring a secure and hazard-free work environment.
Production Reporting:
Keep detailed records of completed tasks, production quantities, and any issues encountered during the manufacturing process.
Continuous Improvement:
Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
Preferred qualifications:
Candidate must have some or all of the following Educational/Technical requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
Vocational Training:
A degree or certificate from a vocational school in relevant fields such as metalworking or machining is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and the ability to program press brake machines using CNC controls.
Analytical Abilities:
Strong analytical skills to ensure precise measurements and proper alignment of materials during the bending process.
Experience:
Prior experience working with industrial machines, especially in press machine operation, steel manufacturing, or sheet metal work, is highly desirable.

Keen eye for detail to identify any defects or discrepancies in the final products, ensuring high-quality output.
Physical Fitness:
Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting heavy materials, and performing repetitive tasks involved in the production process.
