Requirements:
  • 5+ years set-up and operating experience, preferably with Amada/ Trumpf equipment
  • Ability to read measuring tools including protractor and caliper, and scanning instruments preferred.
  • Strong math skills, ability to multiply, divide, add and subtract in all units of measure.
  • Additional math skills relating to algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Strong working knowledge of bend allowances.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Capable of reading blueprints.
  • Minimum of three years CNC experience.
  • Comfortable with power tools and manual tools.
  • Good attendance.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Able to lift to 50 pounds.
  • High School Diploma or GED & Additional equipment certification training is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Effective communication skills to discuss and understand work procedures, training, general direction and other issues with co-workers and supervisor.
Desired Competencies:
  • Maintain excellent attendance record.
  • Flexible to perform overtime duties and adjust schedule when required.
Duties:
  • Leads a group of employees and provides support and guidance.
  • Schedule workflow in the department.
  • Communicate information from management to team.
  • Instills good working practices.
  • Organize department to be the most efficient.
Ex:
Tools, Machines, People, and Job Travelers
  • Ensure team members are producing good parts by using checklist for process.
  • Provide training, education, and any helpful information.
  • Sign off on jobs that are correct when produced in their area.
  • Enforce safety and shop rules on their team members.
  • Have team members record accurate data in E2 system. This includes clock in, clock out, setup time, good parts, scrapped parts, router steps that are skipped, and any comments that need to be added.
  • Check that each process before your operation is complete on job traveler.
  • Coordinate with other team leaders as necessary and make improvements.
  • 30/60/90-day feedback on new employees
  • Act responsibly to follow safe operating practices.
  • Ability to read tape measure, micrometer, caliper, protractors, and interpret tolerances.
  • Capacity to understand blueprints, while understanding how the measurement and tolerances relate to the finished product.
  • Measures product dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation and performs quality inspection of finished product as required by work order.
  • May perform first piece inspection to confirm tolerances and dimensions are within specifications.
  • Adhere to all OSHA safety related work rules and procedures. Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The position requires frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling objects that are usually less than 1 pound and sometimes up to 50 pounds or heavier.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
