  • Full-time, Contract Summary Operate fabricating machines that bend material by setting up tooling and programming to specified requirements of the Customer.
Set up and adjust machines that include hand rollers, benders, etc. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below and the departmental skills matrix are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Read and interpret traveler to determine what tooling to use. Use tape measures and calipers and other necessary measuring tools to determine correct dimensions and thickness of material. Create/Load programs and load tools into presses. This includes installing punches and dies, aligning tooling, setting up appropriate tonnage, and applying safe distance requirements. Read blueprint to determine if bends are correct. Develop set-up sheets for individual parts. Record all labor efficiently and consistently. Know and adhere to all machine safety rules. Follow work instructions to ensure job is being done correctly. Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on the machines as designated by the Maintenance Manager. Perform secondary processes (ex. deburr, material handling, pems, handnotch, etc.) as required.
