Job Description

Transform the everyday — one precision bend at a time Join Siemens in Wendell, NC and help the Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit deliver dependable power distribution today while innovating for Future Grids. Your craft on a Trumpf press brake turns designs into reality. Your impact Own the setup and operation of a Trumpf press brake to form steel, aluminum, galvanized, and copper parts to drawing specs. Load, configure, and run offline bend programs; select/change tooling for optimal forming. Decode 2D/3D blueprints; apply shop math to calculate bend allowances/deductions and tonnage. Document confirmations in our manufacturing data system and follow Quality/Safety documents, Operating Instructions, production sequences, and part drawings. Maintain equipment and workspace for safe, reliable performance; collaborate with a Group Lead/Supervisor. Growth & support Start on 1st shift for training at the manager's discretion, then move to 3rd shift. Work within a global, diverse team that supports development and new challenges. Schedule & compensation 3rd shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30AM (ET)
Hourly:
$24.79 plus $1.50 shift differential What you'll need 1+ year of press brake setup/operation with experience selecting and changing tooling. Deep understanding of flat pattern layout, bend deductions/allowances, and tonnage calculations. Proven ability to analyze and solve forming issues independently. Comfort with shop math, digital systems, and basic mechanical/measuring tools. Read, write, speak, and comprehend English; able to stand for the duration of the shift and to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb. Able to reach, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide material.
Preferred:
High School diploma or equivalent. Technical proficiencies & tools
