Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to accurately bend and shape sheet metal components according to precise specifications. Duties Set up and operate various press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and calibration for each job. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce accurate bends. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to quality standards. Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) press brakes for complex bending tasks, optimizing machine efficiency and accuracy. Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment, including tooling changes, adjustments, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Conduct quality inspections throughout the bending process to ensure all parts meet specifications before final assembly or shipment. Required Skills Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in operating and setting up press brake machines with a strong understanding of mechanical principles and tooling setups. Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes. Familiarity with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during setup and production. Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and fabrication tools effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance, crane and rigging operations, forklift operation, and tooling management. Understanding of quality inspection procedures to ensure finished parts meet strict tolerances using micrometers and other precision instruments. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry heavy materials. Ability to work safely with equipment such as forklifts and cranes while adhering to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
