Press Brake Operator --1st and 2nd shift -- Weekly Pay! This role focuses on setting up and operating hydraulic CNC press brakes and punch presses to form sheet metal parts according to specifications. You will read and interpret blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and maintain high efficiency in a production environment while minimizing scrap and identifying material defects throughout production runs. Responsibilities Set up hydraulic CNC press brakes and punch presses according to work instructions and production requirements. Form sheet metal parts to print, ensuring all parts meet dimensional and quality specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to determine proper tooling, sequence of operations, and machine settings. Document production progress accurately, including counts, quality checks, and any adjustments made. Maintain high efficiency in a high-volume production environment while meeting or exceeding output targets. Maintain minimum, and preferably zero, scrap levels by closely monitoring parts and making timely adjustments. Identify and report material defects throughout production runs and take appropriate corrective actions. Use measurement tools such as calipers, dial calipers, protractors, micrometers, and tape measures to verify part dimensions. Essential Skills Minimum 6+ months of blueprint reading experience. Minimum 6+ months of experience using measurement tools such as protractors, calipers, and dial calipers. Minimum 6+ months of experience operating a press brake or punch press. Minimum 6+ months of CNC machine operating experience. Minimum 6+ months of experience setting up machines with PLC programs, including the ability to edit programs. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of experience working in a sheet metal facility is preferred. 2+ years of experience operating press brakes or punch presses is preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a clean, spacious sheet metal fabrication facility with both heating and air conditioning, providing a comfortable setting year-round. You will work on CNC press brakes, punch presses, shear presses, and related fabrication equipment in a production environment focused on efficiency and quality. Each shift consists of approximately ten team members, encouraging close collaboration and support. Standard work hours run Monday through Friday, with a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and a second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. New hires attend a first-day orientation class from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on a Monday, then begin their normal shift the following day. The dress code requires steel-toe or composite-toe footwear, jeans or docker-style pants (no sweatpants or leggings), safety glasses, and nails shorter than two inches; earbuds are not allowed on the production floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
