This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, problem-solving, and contributing to a fast-paced‑, growing manufacturing environment. Candidates should have a solid background in press brake operation, metal fabrication processes, and the use of precision tools, along with a desire to continually expand their skillset. Working closely with the Plant Manager and senior brake technicians, you will play a key part in producing high quality, tight‑tolerance components for our customers. Primary Responsibilities Program and make minor edits directly at the CNC press brake controls Operate press brakes to form parts accurately from flat layouts and prints Work collaboratively with engineering and programming personnel Verify machine settings, inspect first p‑iece samples, and ensure all parts meet quality specifications Handle and maneuver materials weighing between 25-70 lbs. Perform complex setups, tooling adjustments, and machine changeovers Maintain a safe and organized work area, following all company safety guidelines Confirm accuracy of job documentation including revisions, materials, routing steps, and inspection sheets Complete production tasks efficiently while adhering to work instructions and job sequences Ideal Candidate Profile 2-5 years of press brake experience Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with metal fabrication processes Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Comfortable in a fast-moving shop environment with tight deadlines Reliable, detail oriented‑, and committed to producing quality work About Tornqvist Division For more than 150 years, Tornqvist has built a reputation for delivering precision‑crafted components with exceptional service and reliability.
