ABOUT THE ROLE SIMTECH
Creations is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Press Brake Operator to join our Metal Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise operation of CNC press brake machinery to form, bend, and shape metal components to exact specifications. You will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of quality and production efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set up, operate, and adjust CNC press brake machines in accordance with job specifications and technical drawings.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine tooling and machine settings.
  • Select, install, and align appropriate tooling and dies for each job.
  • Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure components meet required tolerances.
  • Monitor production output for consistency and quality, making adjustments as required.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete relevant documentation.
  • Carry out routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance of machinery.
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
  • Collaborate with the broader Metal Department team to meet production targets and deadlines.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:
  • Proven experience operating CNC press brakes in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Sound understanding of metals, material properties, and forming techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments such as vernier callipers, micrometres, and angle gauges.
  • Solid understanding of workplace health and safety standards and safe operating procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Trade qualification or relevant industry experience will be highly regarded.
Schedule Monday-Friday 5am-1pm Overtime is dependent on need of the company
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
