Job Description

Sheet Metal Brake Forming Technician Why True FAB & Powder We're a team of skilled fabricators who value precision, communication, and safety. Your work here is respected, your ideas are heard, and your growth matters. Role snapshot Operate and set up CNC press brakes to form sheet metal components to print. Own first‑piece quality—run test bends, make micro‑adjustments, and document setups. Read and execute from blueprints, shop drawings, and job travelers. Measure, verify, and maintain tight tolerances with calipers, micrometers, and protractors. Load/position material safely using manual handling or a hoist; keep production flowing with your team. Perform routine maintenance, follow PPE/machine safety, and report malfunctions without delay. Qualifications Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training in metal fabrication or machining a plus. 1-3 years in press brake operation or metal fabrication. Background with CNC brakes (AMADA, Trumpf, Bystronic, etc.) is a big plus . Technical capability Fluent in blueprint reading and work order/job traveler interpretation. Understands bend allowances and material characteristics. Comfortable with precision measurement tools. Work style Detail‑first mindset; consistent, repeatable results. Self‑starter who collaborates well and can run independently. Quick thinker who solves problems at the machine. Physical requirements Lift up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing. Frequent bending/lifting around loud equipment. Comfort in a shop environment with dust, heat, and industrial noise.
