Standard Internship $ Paid $14.50/hr Full Time Description We are a family owned sheet metal job shop in Marion Indiana since 1982. our intern program is ran by Mike Wiley and our site supervisor Curt Raffensperger. As they learn new work center we have operators that will train you in those specific skills. You will be trained in the following manufacturing work centers. 1. Basic Assembly ( coutnter sink, drill press, insert, gluing, ect.) 2. Break out
  • breaking parts out of laser cut sheets and grinding/scraping laser slag and stacking the parts. ( This will help you to identify the different parts that we run as well as understanding how our tracking system works to track jobs and parts on the shop floor. 3. Debluing
  • cleaning stainless steel parts with our debluing system and removing weld marks from the product. 4. Brake press operation
  • We will teach you how to operate a brake press safely and run the machine with logging in and out of jobs, setting up tooling, run a brake press program. 5. Shipping and recieving operations
  • pulling inventory, kitting components for the weld booths 6. Robotic welder operator
  • teach you how to load machine, run programs, check and change consumables 7. Turret operator
  • Load unload. run program, change tooling 8. Basic Blue print reading 9. using quality intruments ( square, Calipers, Tape measure) Also the opportunity to learn the following 1. Laser operation 2. Quality
  • Run Faro arm, document PPAPS, Balloon drawings, Slip gauges 3.
Fork truck operation with certification Responsibilities They will be responsible to learn how to run product in all workcenters, use clock system, Identify a quality defect, operate all machines in a safe manner. Show up on time wen school is in session. Qualifications To actively be enrolled in advanced manufactering or weld class Learning Objectives 1. To safely set up and operate manufacturing machines 2. How the manufacturing process works and how to document the parts through the process 3. to successfully be able to read a blueprint and self check all measurements
