Press Operator Tulsa's Green Country Staffing - 3.9 Broken Arrow, OK Job Details Full-time $15 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Shop math Attention to detail Ability to follow instructions Performing background checks Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Local manufacturing company is looking to hire a full time press operator. After being trained, they will start Friday Overtime, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., probably until the end of the year. Will alternate Press Operators every other Friday to help prevent burn out.
Press Operator:
Operator will operate and monitor a stamping press. Ensure the machine runs smoothly, produces high-quality parts, and adheres to production specifications by loading material, adjusting settings, and performing quality checks. Key tasks of a metal stamping press operator: Operating the press: Activating the machine to press the metal into the die, monitoring the process for any malfunctions.
Quality control:
Inspecting finished parts for defects like burrs, dimensions, and surface finish.
Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during operation, like jams or misaligned material.
Maintaining the press:
Performing routine cleaning and lubrication to ensure optimal machine performance. Important skills for a metal stamping press operator Mechanical aptitude : Understanding how the stamping press works and its various components Attention to detail : Carefully inspecting parts for quality defects Precision and dexterity : Accurately positioning materials within the die Ability to read blueprints and work instructions Basic math and problem-solving skills Must be able to: Lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds Stand on your feet for long periods Possess attention to detail, concentration and following instructions Complete paperwork on a timely basis, which includes basic math Work in a repetitive role, and a fast-paced manufacturing environment exposed to high noise levels Be on time
Schedule :
Monday-Thrusday 5am-330pm; overtime Fridays 5am-33pm
