Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating press brake machines and a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes. This position requires strong technical skills, precision, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, program, and operate CNC press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine appropriate machine settings and fabrication methods. Select and install appropriate tooling for each job, ensuring accuracy during set-up and changeovers. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, tape measures, and squares to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality. Make minor machine adjustments as needed and troubleshoot basic mechanical or programming issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards at all times. Document production data and maintain accurate records of work completed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must have experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and shop drawings. Strong understanding of tooling, bend allowances, and metal characteristics. Ability to perform accurate measurements and basic mathematical calculations. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Able to work overtime when necessary. Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
