QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL AND/OR RESPONSIBILITY REQUIRED
Adhered to all policies, procedures, rules, quality and customer service standards set forth by the company Identify safety hazards in the workplace and report them to management Comply to all safety guidelines put into place by MI Metals Works to assist press operators and follows instructions to accomplish department goals Ensures that Machine that is being operated is in a safe working order Powers up log oven/extrusion press and pullers Look at press schedule and prepare billet oven and press accordingly Once die is put into press by lead man, begins to lead die out by building pressure on press Ensure that metal is safely being transferred from press to pullers and then onto cooling table At the end of each extrusion, make sure that the butt of the billet is properly sheared off Ensures that Maximum pounds per hour are being achieved Verifies that run out of metal will accommodate finished saw cut length with proper end scrap needed Documents all orders extruded into press report and enter everything into our EPICS system on the computer Powers down log oven, extrusion press and pullers
