In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, interpret technical drawings accurately, and adhere to safety standards in production. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality fabrication projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Duties Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to produce precise bends according to technical specifications and blueprints. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure accurate fabrication. Program CNC press brakes using appropriate software to achieve desired dimensions and angles. Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration, and tooling changes to optimize performance. Conduct quality inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy. Collaborate with team members on sheet metal fabrication projects, including welding, assembly, and finishing processes. Follow safety protocols strictly, including proper use of hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment involved in manufacturing operations. Maintain detailed documentation of production activities and quality checks for traceability. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation of press brake machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining is a plus. Familiarity with tooling setup, measurement techniques, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and calipers. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including welding, assembly, and finishing. Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing environment. Understanding of safety standards in production environments to ensure a safe workplace. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Experience with quality inspection procedures for ensuring product conformity. Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to interpret manufacturing blueprints accurately. This role is vital for ensuring the production of high-quality metal components through precise machine operation and fabrication expertise.
