Press Brake Operator J&K Metal Fabricators Kent, WA Job Details $25 - $39 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Machine shop presses Press brake machine Press operation Full Job Description J&K Commercial Construction is seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator who is looking to grow their career and advance within our company. We are hiring immediately for individuals with experience operating press brakes and forming a variety of materials and thicknesses. Located in the greater Seattle, Washington area, we specialize in custom stainless-steel fabrication for commercial kitchens, including sinks, tables, cabinetry, and other foodservice equipment. This position offers hands-on training, competitive pay, excellent benefits, and opportunities for long-term growth.
  • Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints Perform individual, non-production setups for custom fabrication projects Plan and execute proper bend sequences for custom parts Accurately use tape measures and precision measuring tools, including protractors, squares, and calipers Maintain quality standards and verify bend allowances per drawings and specifications Set up and operate press brakes for multi-bend parts Troubleshoot equipment and perform machine setup adjustments as needed Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy Work effectively as part of a team Safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds Obtain forklift, industrial safety, and CPR certifications upon hire •Qualifications •Minimum of 2 years of press brake operating experience Experience forming various material types and thicknesses, including stainless steel Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to read blueprints and understand fabrication drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn You should be proficient in: Driver's License Equipment Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Skills CNC Machine Setup & Changeover Machine Setups for Production Runs Experience in a Manufacturing Environment Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience Blueprint Reading Basic Computer Skills Machines & technologies you'll use: Press Brake
