Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines to fabricate metal parts Interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine bend angles, dimensions, and tolerances Select appropriate tooling, die, and machine settings for each job Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product accuracy and quality Load, position, and secure materials for bending operations Maintain production efficiency while meeting established deadlines Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized Follow all safety procedures and company policies Qualifications Previous press brake operation experience preferred (CNC experience a plus) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills Experience using precision measuring instruments Ability to lift and move materials as required (typically up to 50 lbs.) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Work Environment Manufacturing or shop environment Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required Schedule & Compensation Full-time, with potential overtime depending on production needs Competitive pay based on experience Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, and paid time off (varies by placement)
