2nd Shift Laser/Press Brake Machine Operator

Laser & Press Brake Machine Operator Are you looking to start a rewarding career in manufacturing? Join our team as a Laser & Press Brake Machine Operator ! This position will operate a laser machine to perform laser cutting for a variety of work orders and company requirements. You may also operate a variety of other machines as needed.

Pay Range:

$20.00•27.00 ($2.50 shift differential)

Schedule:

2nd shift; Monday•Thursday, 4:00 PM•2:30 AM . 3-day weekend every week!

What You'll Do:

Perform typical laser cutting operations Select proper cutting programs, and proper fixtures Make proper set-ups for cutting operations Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal parts Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately Perform precise measurements and calculations using basic math Perform prescribed maintenance as required Perform all dimensional inspections Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the manager/supervisor. Complete part clean up according to specifications Complete all paperwork, material issues, and print tags according to the process Work at different workstations as production needs require

Experience in a manufacturing setting Experience operating laser cutting machines (Trumpf) preferred Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills Solid understanding of basic math for accurate fabrication Experience with machining, laser cutting, or fabrication is a plus Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools Forklift and crane operation experience is an advantage Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
