Full Job Description Schedule:
Rotating 1st and 2nd Shift - 1st Shift 6:00am-2:00pm 5-8hr days / 2nd Shift 2:00pm-12:00am 4-10hr days Offering competitive wages based on skill level and experience
POSITION SUMMARY
The Press Operator is responsible for operating the presses and managing the everyday press operations for the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform typical press operations to support the production process
  • Load and unload press
  • Review job ticket to obtain information related to the job- to include size, quantity, color and stock
  • Perform a full range of make-ready and running on press machines: to include selection and preparation of inks and coatings to ensure compliance with job ticket specifications
  • Detect and report defective or questionable material, product, and conditions to department supervisor.
  • Ensure quality expectations and standards are met
  • Operate transport equipment to move skids of paper in and out of work area
  • Communicate all issues to appropriate members of the team
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition- perform machine maintenance as required and scheduled
  • Follow all safety processes and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of press experience- operating sheet fed press Previous experience operating large sheet fed press equipment is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate The ability to demonstrate a strong sense of color, register and consistency Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills The ability to problem solve and troubleshoot Self-motivated with a team player mentality Proven attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple job responsibilities Strong and effective communication and capable of following instructions and working autonomously Proven success maintaining high production rates and quality standards
