NSC is hiring experienced CNC press brake operators for a busy, growing fabrication shop located in Sturgeon Bay, WI! CNC Press Brake Operator Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines safely and efficiently Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings Select proper tooling, dies, and machine settings based on material type and job specifications Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and other precision tools Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency Load and unload metal materials and finished parts Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines Assist with preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality goals Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience operating press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience with CNC press brake programming is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately Basic math and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards Preferred Skills Experience with metal fabrication processes Knowledge of tooling setup and material properties Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles Forklift certification is a plus Work Environment Manufacturing and production facility environment Exposure to machinery, noise, and metal materials Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
