Overview We are seeking a motivated Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain laser cutting equipment to produce emblems for a variety of customer products. Your expertise will ensure machines are set up properly, perform quality checks, and maintain safety protocols while achieving production standards. Duties Set up and operate laser cutting machine. Load sheet material into the machine and ensure proper alignment and calibration. Monitor the laser equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Adjust machine settings to meet production requirements. Identify defects or issues and take corrective action, including adjusting machine settings or troubleshooting problems. Report and assist with repairs for any malfunctioning machines or equipment. Follow safety protocols when operating and maintaining laser equipment. Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure the work environment remains clean and safe. Document machine settings and production numbers. Communicate effectively regarding any production delays or technical issues. Develops and maintains positive relationships with all levels of internal and external clients. Creates a culture of "customer first" and translates this culture into daily workflow and priorities. Regularly employs continuous improvement techniques and practices in all activities. Supports LEAN projects. Performs duties in compliance with Federal, state and local laws and regulations and adheres to all Penn Emblem policies and safety procedures. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Skills Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and precision in work. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Ability to organize and prioritize work operating in a multi-tasking function. Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving. Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. May require standing for extended periods. Requires lifting of product up to 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Requires twisting at the torso while lifting, handling, and pulling product from shelves.
