In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating bindery equipment to assemble, finish, and prepare printed materials for delivery. Your expertise will ensure that every product meets our high standards of quality and precision. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in print finishing and machinery operation will directly contribute to the success of our print production process. Duties Operate various bindery equipment such as folding machines, cutters, and folding machines to complete print finishing tasks. Set up and adjust machinery according to job specifications, ensuring accurate cuts, folds, and bindings. Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies. Maintain proper documentation of job orders, production logs, and quality reports for traceability. Collaborate with prepress and print teams to ensure smooth workflow from printing to finishing. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Assist with inventory management of supplies such as binding materials, blades, and adhesives. Experience Proven experience operating bindery or finishing equipment in a commercial printing or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of print finishing techniques including stiching, folding, binding, and cutting. Knowledge of color management, layout design, and prepress processes is highly desirable. Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues quickly and effectively while maintaining safety standards. Prior exposure to quality control procedures and manufacturing best practices will help ensure success in this role.
