Responsible for the efficient operation of a digital press and related finishing equipment
Scope:
Efficiently runs all type of press work on the digital presses § Know and comply with all safety procedures, equipment safety features, and company safety rules. § Demonstrate and maintain a quality-conscious attitude in all aspects of production. § Set up, operate, and maintain multiple digital presses. § Consistently produce printed products that meet or exceed required specifications and quality standards. § Review job ticket specifications prior to starting each job to ensure proper setup and execution. § Perform all job tasks according to the required job ticket specifications. § Review proofs and final product samples produced on digital equipment before releasing them internally or to customers. § Monitor and maintain proper color calibration to meet color target expectations. § Visually inspect printed materials to identify quality issues such as color shifts, streaking, or misalignment. § Monitor and manage material usage to ensure it aligns with allocated quantities. § Maintain accurate records of production time, material usage, and location movement within the MIS system. § Conduct routine and special maintenance on digital press equipment to maintain optimal machine performance. § Record maintenance activities and service calls in the maintenance log as required. § Proactively work with maintenance, supervisors, and other digital press operators to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability. § Troubleshoot basic equipment issues such as paper jams, sensors, or consumable-related issues. § Maintain a clean and organized work area. § Monitor supply levels and assist with ordering consumables as needed. § Work effectively as a team member and communicate clearly with supervisors, prepress, finishing, and production staff. § Follow production workflows and standard operating procedures. § Manage multiple print jobs while maintaining organization and meeting production deadlines in a fast-paced environment. § Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn digital press operation, color control, and print finishing processes. § Possess basic computer skills, including the ability to work with files, folders, and PDFs. § Possess basic math skills and the ability to read a ruler. § Maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate a strong work ethic, including willingness to work overtime during peak production periods. § Be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift paper boxes weighing approximately 40-50 lbs. § English-speaking or bilingual is a plus.
Qualifications :
Education:
Highschool diploma or equivalent
Experience In:
>1 year § Good verbal and written communication skills § Demonstrate willingness to accept direction from supervisors, management and peers to improve quality and performance § Demonstration willingness to work together with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance § Flexible in order to adjust to changing production demands § Sufficient organizational and mathematical skills § Demonstrates good housekeeping skills Technical Skills § Computer literate § Full understanding of digital press front end software § Proficient with Epic UV coater set up and operation (Miami) § Ability to review color and make adjustments as needed § Knowledge of with materials used in the manufacturing process § Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and converting decimals to fractions) Culture and Motivational Fit The mission for all Southeastern associates is to protect and enhance our clients' brand. Physical Requirements:
§ Must be able to sit for long periods of time. § Must have visual acuity necessary to read material composed on video display terminals. § Must have the ability to move from place to place within the building. § Must be able to complete repetitive motion of hands and arms to input/retrieve information from computer. § Must be able to bend/reach to get materials from floor, high and low shelves. § Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., such as print materials, paper samples, etc.

Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
