Floor Supervisor

Monday

• Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm Floor Supervisor that has strong experience in Slitting and Cut to Length Steel Processing to oversee and assist in the day-to-day operation.

The responsibilities consist of managing personnel, maintaining safety standards, maximizing production efficiency, assisting with machine repairs, help with quality control with processing material as well as inbound and outbound material, and helping keep the warehousing clean.

• Lead and motivate machine operators and production employees
• Ensure production follows the schedule and quality standards
• Help with any issues on slitter or cut to length equipment
• Monitor coil processing on machines making sure all tolerances are within standards, material quality, slit edge quality, and flatness.
• Oversee paperwork on machines
• Help train new employees
• Coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Maintain inventory and quality on Slitters (knives, tooling, separators, and spare parts)
• Strong understanding in coil handling and safety
• Experience in operating a forklift
• Proficient with a computer to do shimless tooling setups
• Experience in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum processing
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Work safely around heavy machinery and moving forklifts
• Lift up to 50lbs
• Strong problem solving and leadership skills
• Knowledge in gauge thickness
• Knowledge in surface imperfections for quality control
