The ideal candidate will have experience in various printing techniques and be proficient in software tools related to print production.

Informal Role:

Digital Print Technician This position requires the individual to be able to adjust settings on the machine to accurately image designs on corresponding substrates. This position controls the pace of production while carefully observing all personnel and mechanical functions to insure consistency and reporting any variances to the digital print supervisor. This position performs and/or assists in all maintenance, performs operation of the assigned machine, makes adjustments to the machine and performs cleaning on and around the machine throughout the shift. Daily Tasks

• Learn and practice all safety measures around the machinery.
• Must be able to load shirts straight on the pallet and in the correct placement.
• Must be able to load the garment without leaving wrinkles or lint in the print area.
• Must be able to load the machine at a productive rate without causing damage to the machine or the garment.
• Must have a thorough understanding of how to operate the control panel and dryer.
• Must know the correct design and location that is being printed on the shirts for each order.
• Must not damage shirts in any way.
• Must have situational awareness to know when to stop the machine for quality and safety issues.
• Must be able to be in this position performing these functions for several hours at a time.
• This position requires twisting and turning.
• This position requires eye-hand coordination.
• This is a repetitive motion position.
• Apply all points of Quality Control.
• Must look for and find flaws/defects with the garment.
• Notify digital print supervisor of any detected issue with print quality, machine malfunction or issue that creates a stoppage in production.
• Must understand the adjustments needed for each type and color of garment to insure the print is imaged correctly to adhere and cure properly.
• Must be able to tolerate the warm to hot ambient temperature of the work area.
• Must be able to tolerate dusty environment due to airborne particles.
• Must be able to tolerate smells and odors generated from the chemicals used for cleaning and repairs to garments.
• Must be able to repair shirts that can be repaired using the tools and procedures given.
• Clean work area daily.
• Wipe up any ink that is dropped on the equipment or work area immediately.
• Sweep floor and pick up debris or trash as it accumulates.
• Stage correct shirts for each order being set-up to be printed.
• Stage completed shirts at the designated area.
• Clean around machinery every day.
• Perform required maintenance on the machinery as instructed.
• Must be team oriented, be able to communicate, have eye-hand coordination, have attention to detail, be conscientious, be able to count and record accurate data, show effort to perform the job to meet our minimum expectations.
• Be willing to cross-train in other positions or departments as needed.
• Be able to work the scheduled hours and willing to work overtime if needed.
