Your tasks
Position Summary:
The honing team leader is responsible for being a resource for employees, providing knowledge, skills, and support. They are responsible for being experts on honing procedures, and ensuring employees comply. The honing team lead is responsible for setting up machines according to set up instructions best practice. Duties and Responsibilities The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. It is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the company may deem necessary- Hone and operate all Honing machines
- Expert knowledge of honing machine
- Monitor the production flow and general workflow of your area
- Ensure all procedures and standard work are being followed consistently and correctly
- Read honing set up instructions and set up machine accordingly
- Monitor employees for safe operations and ensure all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is worn correctly
- Communicate with your supervisor on a regular basis; report any issues that may arise immediately
- Hone a variety of parts and valves including blindhole, throughhole, strait finish
- Ensure machines always have 2 jobs
- Read target area control tolerance
- Read drawings and blueprints Supervisor Responsibilities Manage workflow between Supervisor to Honing team members Your profile
- Highs school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ Years manufacturing experience
- 5+ Years machine operating experience
- Ability to read and write numbers
- Good computer knowledge and skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong written and communication skills in English
- Actively engage in continuous improvement
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a team environment Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Lift and move a minimum of 25 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Repetitive motion Work Environment
- Work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
- Exposure to oil and water
- PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes
