Job Description

The Rollfed Operator is responsible for preparation, set-up, start and running manufacturing equipment under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. Accountabilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications, manufacturing standards and that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations . Essential Accountabilities Machine operation Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts to specification. Ensure maximum efficiency of set-up to include set-up time, materials, production rate and material consumption. Machine readiness inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up. Identify issues, which adversely affect product requirements and communicate with appropriate department personnel for resolution. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning. Identify nonconforming materials/products and work with shift leader for resolution. Quality Ensure part quality meets established standards. Perform housekeeping duties. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Communication Complete all shift documentation/paperwork. Shift hand-off go over job status and updates with incoming shift. Safety Participate in safety programs. Follow all established safety procedures. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment. Minimum Qualifications One (1) year manufacturing or related experience; Mechanical aptitude; Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements. Inside (other): Good Manufacturing Procedures/American Institute of Bakers certified manufacturing environment
Equipment/Tools Used:
Thermoforming equipment, computers, controls, measurement equipment, pallet jacks, hand tools
Physical Requirements:
Light work (lift 10 lbs): continuously producthand tools Medium Work (lift 11-30 lbs.) regularly producthand tools Heavy Work (lift 31-50 lbs.) occasionally (three to four times per shift): rolls of material (using material handling equipment)
Other Physical Requirements:
Bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, twisting, standing for long periods of time Mental Requirements Reading, writing, calculating, interpersonal skills, reasoning/analysis, works with minimal supervision Travel Frequency (in addition to seminars or related training): None
