Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Shop Set-up Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machinery and tools, with a focus on precision and quality. This role requires experience in Haas and Fanuc Controls, Milling and Turning Experience, Interpreting blueprints, diagrams and technical orders. Must be experienced in using micrometers, calipers, and other gauges required to inspect product. Responsibilities Operate and monitor CNC machines, lathes, and other equipment to produce parts according to engineering specifications. Set up and tear down CNC machines according to job schedules. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in production. Product machined components from raw materials while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Complete required and accurate documentation of work. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience (Minimum of 2 years) as a Mill and Lathe Machine Set-up Operator. Proficiency in operating hand tools within a Machine Shop Environment. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus. Ability to read blueprints accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
