Job Description

Processing Supervisor Job Summary:
The Material Processing Supervisor is responsible for managing their work area including: all machinery, work center, staff, and resources required to manufacture reusable steel shipping containers and racks.
Duties:
  • Ensure personnel work area is properly set up to maximize efficiency and organization
  • Train, oversee and manage processing personnel, communicate clear expectations for production rates
  • Be able to perform processing responsibilities in addition to supervising personnel
  • Manage resources in the work area to ensure all needed tools and materials are stocked for the next day
  • Monitor tooling, machines and equipment to ensure they are properly set up and function as intended
  • Ensure employees understand how to operate the tools and equipment required to perform their assigned task
  • Communicate and follow up on any issues (material, staff, equipment, quality etc.) quickly and according to company procedure
  • Manage staff to ensure area is running efficiently and in accordance with production expectations
  • Complete required documentation as directed and ensure it is complete, accurate and timely
  • Ensure verified time tickets are to be turned in daily
  • Manage employee timecard and time-off requests
  • Verify with personnel that work areas are clean and organized at all times
  • Provide performance evaluations for staff as required
  • Maintain a respectful and professional approach to communicating with others
  • Follow and enforce all company policies including safety rules and quality standards
  • Provide other support as required to meet production requirements
Abilities and Skills:
  • Must have a working knowledge of all machinery associated with the formation of steel material for shipping rack/ container fabrication including, automated/ CNC bandsaws, brake presses, drill presses, shears, and others
  • Must have working knowledge of manufacturing machined and welded products
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
  • Must use Personal Protective Equipment required for department
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate and direct others
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
