In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality finishing processes on printed materials, ensuring precision and efficiency throughout the bindery operation. Your expertise will help transform printed products into polished, professional final pieces that meet our rigorous quality standards. Duties Operate and maintain various bindery equipment, including folding machines, cutting tables, and finishing tools, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal performance Execute complex finishing tasks such as binding, trimming, perforating, scoring, and laminating with precision and attention to detail Collaborate with prepress and print teams to ensure color management and layout specifications are accurately followed during finishing processes Conduct quality control checks throughout the bindery process to identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies in the final product Utilize skills in graphic design, typography, and layout design to troubleshoot issues related to print advertising materials and ensure alignment with client expectations Assist with machine setup, adjustments, troubleshooting, and maintenance to maximize productivity and minimize downtime Follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery such as CNC equipment or flexo presses; ensure a safe working environment for all team members Experience Proven experience in a bindery or finishing role within a manufacturing or print production environment Strong knowledge of screen printing, prepress processes, color management techniques, and quality control standards Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for troubleshooting or layout adjustments Hands-on experience operating bindery machinery including folding machines, cutters, CNC equipment, and flexo presses Ability to interpret technical drawings or layout files to execute precise finishing tasks Knowledge of machining processes related to print finishing and familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous Excellent attention to detail with an understanding of typography, layout design principles, and print advertising standards This is a 2nd shift position in a unionized facility.
