Job Title:
Machine Set Up Operator Pay:
$20-$25 | Contract to Hire Job Description We are seeking mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with equipment, solving problems, and witnessing the tangible results of their efforts daily. If you have experience working on a farm, in a shop, or with heavy machinery, you will find this role highly rewarding. In this position, you will learn to set up and operate ACME screw machines and industrial cold heading machines that manufacture high volumes of precision metal parts for real-world applications. Prior experience in cold heading is not required; we are willing to train individuals who possess the right attitude. Responsibilities Set up and operate cold heading and screw machines to produce high-volume metal parts. Learn how to dial in machines, adjust tooling, and maintain efficient production. Inspect parts during setup and production to ensure they meet customer blueprints and specifications. Run multiple machines simultaneously once trained. Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments to maintain quality production. Perform basic machine maintenance and preventative upkeep. Maintain an organized and clean workspace following 5S standards. Accurately complete production and quality documentation. Collaborate closely with your team to ensure smooth production flow. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong troubleshooting skills. Experience with preventive maintenance. Mechanical assembly skills. Experience with machinery such as shear, lathe, and mill. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical mindset with hands-on experience using tools. Experience in equipment, farming, automotive, machining, or maintenance is a significant advantage. Ability to learn and follow directions in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Dependability and team-oriented attitude. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
