Skills That Get You Hired High school diploma or GED Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and computer skills Prior experience/knowledge of mailing requirements, equipment, and processes Advanced knowledge of USPS rules and regulations, and staying informed of any changes On the Job Create and maintain a schedule for the department and communicate the expected time to start and complete tasks Maintain job production statuses Utilize quality control check procedures Schedule 3rd-party transportation services for mailings Review, follow, and question information provided•require clarity and consistency Be prepared to answer questions regarding jobs, as well as communicate material needs, to meet mailing drop dates Produce mailing production paperwork Monitor the Mailing Department inventory, and create purchase requisitions to replenish inventory Create reports and/or provide feedback to upper management Communicate with USPS Assist with mailing handwork functions, as needed Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of
