STARTING WAGE:
$23.09+ per hour (based on experience) This position is full time, 8 hours per day, year round. The position comes with paid time off, paid vacation, paid holidays and is benefit eligible.
Purpose of Position:
The Lead District Copy Technician oversees and coordinates the preparation, production, and distribution of all district printing jobs. This position ensures high quality printing services, efficient workflow, and continuous improvement of the district's copy operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Operate multiple high volume production printing equipment. Provide finishing services including laminating, folding, cutting and gluing. Monitor and maintain optimal machine performance; troubleshoot and clear jams, replace consumables, and coordinate with service technicians to resolve technical issues. Prepare billing reports in accordance with district policy. Organize and prioritize print requests to ensure efficient use of equipment and timely completion or orders. Package and prepare completed orders for delivery. Maintain and monitor inventory levels, order paper and printing supplies as needed, and restock supplies. Conduct quality control reviews of completed jobs to ensure accuracy and high production standards. Research and recommend equipment replacements, upgrades and technology improvements to the Business Services Manager. Maintain current knowledge of printing technology and industry standards through training and professional development. Obtain quotes from vendors for supplies and paper. Train and support District Copy Machine Assistant. Maintain a file and supply of all district forms. Create and distribute information materials about Central Copy services. Confer with Instructional Coaches regarding copy job submissions, specifications and production timelines related to curriculum materials. Serve as backup for processing outgoing postal mail. Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions High school graduate with one year printing and copying experience in a centralized copy center, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have the ability to operate a variety of printing and finishing equipment including high-speed multifunction printers, paper cutters, and related machinery. Must possess a valid driver's license. Minimum Physical and Mental Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions Physical Requirements Ability to perform majority of work in a standing position. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to distinguish colors. Must have current physical on file with the Human Resources certifying applicant is able to meet all job qualifications Mathematical Ability Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and percentages. Language Ability and Interpersonal Communication Ability to comprehend and interpret a variety of documents including meter readings, billing statements, work orders, various reports and forms, equipment manuals, etc. Ability to communicate effectively with administrators, teachers, students, parents, sales representatives, the general public verbally and in writing. Ability to plan, assign, coordinate the work of others.
