Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with potential overtime after the regular shift and/or on Saturdays based on production needs.

As an Insole and Outsole cutter you will play a vital role in the craftsmanship and quality of our boot making production. Using cutting machines, you will accurately cut leather, rubber, or synthetic materials into insoles and outsoles that meet exact specifications. Your work will directly influence the comfort, durability, and fit of every pair we produce. This role requires detail, steady hands, and a commitment to maintaining high production standards while minimizing material waste.
Scope of job:
The insole and outsole cutter are responsible for inspecting leather for quality and flaws and using dies to make necessary cuts with the insole and outsole cutting machine. These machines are essential for pressing and applying pressure over the die during the cutting process. The work area must be kept clean, and the cutter must notify the supervisor when the machine needs maintenance. The cutter must work in a fast-paced environment while maintain safety standards and making sure the rest of the departments have the materials, they need to feed their production line during the rest of the shift.
Duties/Responsibilities:
All responsibilities may be modified based on business needs. Retrieve leather from the warehouse department to the production floor. Revise the quality of leather. Search and pull the correct die (size and model) Place the insole and outsole leather on cutting table to make necessary cuts. Use of Hydraulic machine to help in the cutting machine process by pressing and putting pressure over the die. Must meet the required goal for the day. Must make the most cuts as possible to avoid waste. Once insole and outsoles are completely cut, then put parts on the racks of each workstation making sure you have all sizes on stock for the other departments. Notify supervisor when machine needs additional maintenance. Always keep the work area clean. Assist other departments or team members when necessary.
Quality & Production Expectations:
Meet daily production targets established by the department. Maintain high fast pass yield with minimal rework. Immediately escalate quality concerns to Supervisor. Demonstrate commitment to craftsmanship and continuous improvement. Required Skills/ Abilities Ability to read and interpret detailed work orders. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven manufacturing environment. Passion and desire for excellence by consistently exceeding quality expectations. Ability to work overtime within production needs. Education, Experience, and/or Certifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Experience in leather goods or boot manufacturing environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand continuously for a minimum of eight - hour shifts. Frequent repetitive hand and finger movement. Ability to reach, bend, push, and pull. Ability to lift materials and boxes put to 15 pounds. Ability to maintain focus and precision during repetitive tasks. Ability to work in a production manufacturing environment.
