Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and tend machines used for cutting, punching, and pressing metal and plastic materials according to specifications
  • Adjust machine controls, tooling, and workpiece positions to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Monitor equipment operation to detect malfunctions or issues, and perform basic troubleshooting
  • Inspect finished products for conformity to specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers
  • Load and unload materials onto machines, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement
  • Record production data, including quantities, quality, and machine performance
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following safety protocols and company procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve production challenges and improve processes
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal operation
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operation environment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and written instructions
  • Familiarity with basic measuring instruments and quality control concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods, and lift moderate weights
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
