Full Job Description Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sheetfed Press 2nd Man / Feeder Operator to join our production team in a fast-paced commercial printing environment. This position will support the lead press operator on a Koenig & Bauer 40" 6-color UV sheetfed press and play a key role in maintaining productivity, quality, and efficiency throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have strong sheetfed press experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate feeder systems on a Koenig & Bauer 40" 6-color UV press Load paper stock and maintain consistent sheet feeding throughout production runs Assist the press operator with press setup, washups, ink management, plate hanging, and job changeovers Inspect sheets for quality, color consistency, registration, and defects Maintain proper ink, coating, and fountain solution levels Keep press area clean, organized, and production-ready Perform routine maintenance and assist with preventative maintenance tasks Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards Accurately complete production paperwork and job documentation Support production goals while minimizing waste and downtime
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience working on sheetfed printing presses Experience assisting on large-format commercial sheetfed presses preferred UV printing experience is strongly preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability High attention to detail and quality control Ability to lift paper stock, plates, and materials as needed Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime and weekends when required Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills Schedule 2nd
Shift:
