In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laser engraving equipment to produce high-quality custom engravings on various materials. Your expertise will ensure precision, efficiency, and safety in a fast-paced production environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while honing your technical skills in manufacturing and fabrication processes. Duties Set up and calibrate laser engraving machines according to project specifications and technical drawings Program laser engravers using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to ensure accurate designs Operate laser engraving equipment safely, adhering to all safety protocols and standards Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on laser systems to maximize uptime and performance Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for precise engraving work Handle materials efficiently using forklifts or other materials handling tools when necessary Ensure finished products meet quality standards through visual inspection and the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Skills Proficiency with laser engraving machinery and related software, including CNC programming and CAM programming techniques Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and fabrication tools Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), SolidWorks, and CAD software for design setup and troubleshooting Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precise fabrication Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, assembly, packaging, and materials handling Experience with factory safety protocols and quality control procedures in a manufacturing environment Skilled in the use of hand tools, basic math skills for measurements, and the operation of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers Warehouse experience is a plus for efficient materials management within a manufacturing facility Join our team as a Laser Engraving Machine Operator if you're passionate about craftsmanship, thrive in a collaborative environment, and are eager to develop your skills in advanced manufacturing technologies.
