In this role you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of our Komori 8-color sheetfed press, producing high-quality commercial print work that meets client specifications and company standards. KBA press experience is also a plus. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain the Komori 8-color sheetfed offset press for a variety of high-quality commercial print jobs Perform make-ready, register adjustments, and color matching to meet job specifications and press proofs Monitor print quality throughout each run, making real-time adjustments to ink density, registration, and dot gain Conduct routine press maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning to maximize uptime and performance Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and print quality issues quickly and effectively Maintain accurate job logs, waste records, and shift production reports Coordinate with prepress and bindery teams for smooth job handoffs Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized press environment Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience operating a Komori sheetfed offset press in a high-quality commercial print environment Demonstrated expertise with Komori press systems, controls, and ink/water balance, UV, perfecting preferred Strong mechanical aptitude — comfortable performing press adjustments, troubleshooting, and minor repairs Solid understanding of color management, densitometry, and G7/ISO print standards Ability to read and interpret job tickets, proofs, and press specifications Experience with CTP workflows and plate handling Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to zero-defect production Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Pay:
$34.00 - $36.00 per hour
