• Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Prepress Manager to oversee the preparation and quality control of print and packaging materials within our manufacturing facility.

This pivotal role involves managing the prepress process, ensuring that all artwork, plates, and digital files meet production standards before printing. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with offset & flexo presses. Your leadership will ensure seamless coordination between design, production, and quality assurance teams to deliver exceptional packaging solutions efficiently and accurately. Duties Supervise the entire prepress workflow, including digital file preparation, proofing, and plate making for various printing processes such as flexo and screen printing. Collaborate with design teams to review artwork specifications, ensuring compatibility with manufacturing requirements. Oversee the setup and calibration of machinery related to prepress activities, including flexo presses and machining equipment. Maintain high standards of quality control by inspecting printed materials and verifying color accuracy, registration, and overall print quality. Train and supervise staff involved in prepress activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime. Support packaging projects by preparing files for various formats and ensuring compliance with client specifications. Maintain detailed records of production runs, equipment maintenance logs, and quality inspections. Requirements Proven experience in prepress management within a manufacturing or packaging environment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to printing machinery such as flexo presses and offset and machining tools. Familiarity with digital file preparation software used in prepress workflows in Adobe. Color management experiece is a plus but keen attention to detail in quality control procedures a requirement Knowledge of packaging standards and requirements for various print formats. Prior experience working with manufacturing processes involving machining or mechanical adjustments. Strong leadership abilities to supervise teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment. Softwares used include Kodak Prinergy Workflow, Kodak ColorFlow Pro, Preps, Pandora and CGS Oris Proofing along with Adobe What's in it for you?
