Job Description
Flexo Press Operator must be skilled in setting up, running, and maintaining flexographic presses, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining equipment efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities Setup and Operation:
Reposition printing plates, adjust pressure rolls, and fine-tune machines to improve print quality.
Job Preparation:
Examine job orders to determine quantities, production times, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences.
Material Handling:
Select, install, and position printing plates, dies, and cylinders according to specifications.
Process Monitoring:
Operate presses at required speeds to ensure proper ink coverage, alignment, and registration.
Ink and Varnish Management:
Maintain proper ink levels, additives, and viscosity; blend and test inks/varnishes as needed.
Maintenance:
Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of presses and components.
Quality Control:
Inspect printed products for clarity, color accuracy, and defects; ensure conformance to specifications.
Efficiency and Safety:
Maintain a safe, efficient production environment; follow all quality control and safety procedures.
Recordkeeping:
Enter daily time and materials usage into the computer management system.
Required Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in printing operations.
Skills:
Basic math skills (fractions, decimals), fine distance measurement, strong work ethic, time management, troubleshooting, and attention to detail.
Work Style:
