DOE Position Summary Intrigue Ink operates a fast-paced screen printing production environment with a mix of retail, wholesale, and contract apparel printing. Typical production includes short-to-mid size runs using water-based inks across both manual and automatic presses. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong organization, and the ability to maintain consistency and efficiency across frequent setup changes. The Screen Printing Production Manager plays a key role in ensuring Intrigue Ink's production floor runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for leading, training, and supporting the screen printing team; maintaining equipment and workflows; and upholding consistent production systems throughout all stages of production. This position is ideal for an experienced screen printer who enjoys mentoring others, takes ownership of production quality, and can balance hands-on printing with leadership responsibilities. The Production Manager works closely with the Project Manager to ensure daily production goals are met while continuously improving shop efficiency. Core ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Training Train and develop new and existing printers to ensure consistency, efficiency, and precision Provide hands-on guidance for best practices, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization Oversee the Print Shoppe Assistant role, ensuring fulfillment workflows, accuracy, and timelines align with production output Support and coordinate with both the screen printing and fulfillment teams to ensure the entire production pipeline runs smoothly Foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive shop culture Ensure all production staff follow safety, quality, and shop standards This role is ultimately accountable for production quality, efficiency, and on-time completion Print Production & Quality Control Oversee day-to-day printing operations to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule Conduct quality checks for registration, ink coverage, color accuracy, and garment cleanliness Address print issues proactively and communicate problems to management as needed Uphold Intrigue Ink's quality standards across all printed products Monitor production efficiency, setup times, and workflow performance to identify improvement opportunities Pre-Production & Technical Execution Separate artwork and prepare files for screen printing Create films and burn screens accurately and to spec Maintain organized and efficient pre-production workflows Mix inks to match approved colors and ensure consistency throughout production runs Troubleshoot and maintain consistent water-based printing performance across manual and automatic presses Develop and maintain standardized printing procedures for water-based production Ensure all jobs are fully staged and press-ready prior to setup, including screens, inks, garments, and print specifications Equipment, Maintenance & Inventory Maintain, troubleshoot, and care for all printing equipment Implement and follow preventative maintenance schedules Enforce proper recycling and reuse of screens, frames, and materials Order and manage inventory for inks, emulsions, chemicals, screens, and production supplies Optimize automatic press workflows, settings, and setup procedures to improve consistency, efficiency, and print quality Process Improvement & Communication Assess existing production processes and identify opportunities for improvement Communicate production status, challenges, and needs with management Continuously seek opportunities to improve production techniques, workflows, and shop systems Prioritize and manage daily production tasks efficiently to maintain consistent workflow and minimize press downtime Effectively balance pre-production, printing, troubleshooting, and team support responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment Anticipate production needs and proactively prepare upcoming jobs to ensure smooth workflow throughout the day Assist in organizing and prioritizing daily production schedules to ensure deadlines, staffing, and press time are managed efficiently Create and maintain clear production procedures and shop standards to improve consistency, training, and troubleshooting Preferred Experience Experience printing with water-based inks Experience operating both manual and automatic presses Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Prior leadership, training, or team management experience You'll Thrive in This Role If You Are:
