Screen Print Machine Operators perform various duties, including but not limited to operation of screen print equipment, order preparation and quality assurance. Screen Print Machine Operators are responsible for operating automated screen-print presses or manual presses to highest quality and efficiency standards. We are willing to train the right candidate! Position Overview The Automatic & Manual Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining both automatic and manual screen printing presses to produce high-quality prints on apparel and other textiles. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. The operator ensures jobs are completed accurately, on time, and to customer specifications. Key ResponsibilitiesPress Setup & Operation Set up screens, squeegees, flood bars, pallets, and inks for each production run. Operate automatic and manual presses with consistent speed and accuracy. Ensure proper registration, print placement, and ink coverage. Perform test prints and make necessary adjustments before full production. Monitor press performance and print quality throughout the run. Quality Control Inspect prints for color accuracy, alignment, opacity, and curing. Make on-press adjustments to maintain consistent print quality. Work closely with the QC team to resolve issues quickly. Ink & Screen Management Mix and label inks according to job specs and Pantone formulas. Maintain cleanliness of screens, tools, and equipment. Report damaged screens or issues with mesh, tension, or reclaim needs. Production Workflow Read and follow job tickets, production notes, and design files. Communicate with the production manager and prepress team about job requirements or issues. Keep production areas clean and organized to maintain efficiency. Assist with loading/unloading garments and other tasks as needed to keep the press running smoothly. Maintenance & Safety Perform basic press maintenance including lubrication, cleaning, and part checks. Follow all shop safety protocols to prevent accidents and equipment damage. Report mechanical issues promptly to the shop lead or maintenance team. Work Environment Fast-paced production floor with exposure to heat, inks, chemicals, and machinery. Requires repetitive motion, lifting, bending, and being on your feet for most of the shift. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who can create prints that fully meet the customer's specifications while working at a steady pace in order to keep up with the production schedule.
