This role is responsible for operating and maintaining large-format digital printing and cutting equipment used to produce a wide variety of signs and graphics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality and efficiency are equally important. As a Graphics & Printing Operator, you will support multiple stages of the production process, including machine setup, operation, maintenance, material handling, and quality control. You will work with a variety of substrates and sign materials while ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and company standards. This is a hands-on position that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to learn and operate specialized equipment, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Successful candidates are dependable, adaptable, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team in a production-focused environment.
SOME ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE
Operate SwissQ Nyala large-format printing equipment using a variety of sign blanks and templates ranging from 10" x 7" to 48" x 96" on materials including PVC, plastic, and various gauges of aluminum. Operate and maintain Kongsberg XN cutting tables, Esko software, and HP365 printing equipment. Match printed materials to the appropriate work orders and production specifications. Perform daily machine maintenance, including morning, mid-day, and end-of-day cleaning and upkeep procedures. Monitor print quality and inspect finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and company standards. Prepare materials and workstations for production runs, including staging materials for yourself and other operators. Troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues and escalate concerns when necessary. Move materials and finished products between workstations to support production workflow. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support team productivity by assisting with other production-related tasks as needed.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree or higher preferred, OR 3+ years of related production, printing, graphics, or manufacturing experience. Experience operating digital printing or large-format press equipment preferred. Experience with CorelDRAW, Amber, or similar graphics and production software is a plus. Familiarity with sign manufacturing, printing, and finishing processes preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent proofreading and quality control skills. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to learn new equipment, processes, and technologies quickly. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to stand, walk, and move around production equipment for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
